I have never met a club sandwich I didn't like.
A club sandwich has always been a go-to item for me. I have ordered it on numerous occasions over the years at several Walla Walla valley venues.
My latest rendezvous unfolded at a Main Street establishment that recently celebrated its 40th anniversary - Let's Go Inn.
The Club is one of seven sandwiches offered on the Let's Go Inn menu. And it is one that any sandwich connoisseur would love.
Consuming this work of art required scaling several floors of goodness and opening wide. Within two slices of perfectly-prepared toast you'll find - from top to bottom - crispy bacon, a generous share of turkey, a layer of Swiss cheese and, below another bread slice, a heavenly helping of ham, and Star-Spangled American cheese.
A litter of lettuce, tomato and mayo also make their presence felt, and add to the finger-licking and crum-filled fun.
I am more than a little anxious to return and try the Classic BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato for those who are acronymically challenged), Philly Cheesesteak, French Dip, Grilled Cheese Melt, Grilled Ham and Cheese Melt, and Breakfast Sandwich.
Let's Go Inn is also a hotspot for burgers, salads, chicken, appetizers and countless sides. Should your order be in need of a little something extra, consider selecting from amongst a pool of dipping sauces.
When you open the front door at 515 North Main, you will think that you have died and gone to bar heaven. The ambiance at Let's Go Inn includes a watering hole-type atmosphere spiced with video games, pool tables, and multiple flat screens for your viewing pleasure
