This week, we’ve seen an increase in wildfire activity with the Larch Creek Fire in Wasco County and the Salt Creek Fire in Jackson County. In addition to wildfires in our state, wildfires in neighboring states can also affect our air quality.  The Oregon-California border is currently experiencing smoke impacts from California’s Shelly Fire.

The safety of our residents and visitors is our priority and we must provide consistent messaging regarding wildfires, closures and air quality. The following resources are helpful stay informed:
