OSCC ‘Defend Small Business PAC’ welcomes your support

Every year, decisions made by our elected officials have profound consequences for our local businesses. From taxes to workplace mandates, these decisions affect the vitality of our businesses and quality of life for our employees and our communities.

Every two years we have the opportunity – and responsibility – to support and elect candidates who understand that every small business is essential, and every employee is essential.

With that in mind, we are pleased to announce that OSCC’s Political Action Committee – the Defend Small Business PAC – is fully operational for the 2024 election. We are proud to say that endorsements by the Defend Small Business PAC are highly sought after.

The goal of the Defend Small Business PAC is to protect, preserve and foster a political environment that strengthens our small businesses, their employees, our communities and the private enterprise system.

In the coming weeks, we will be sending out communications with additional details on how to get involved in the PAC. Our ask is that you would share these communications with your members letting them know how they can get involved.

Please be assured that the Defend Small Business PAC is not intended to compete with local chamber PACs. Our focus will be on small dollar contributions that take advantage of the Oregon political tax credit law. We also hope to support local chamber endorsements of candidates and ballot measures when appropriate.

Small businesses are the life-blood of our communities. Acting alone, it is difficult to make a political impact. But together, our collective voice is powerful.
