2024 is Make A Difference Year- Let's Make Milton-Freewater Sparkle!

Dearest Milton-Freewater Community,

2024 is an incredibly exciting year for Milton-Freewater with several important tourism-related conferences and events coming to the Walla Walla Valley! These will bring 700-1000+ individuals, businesses/organizations, developers, investors, government officials, and top players in the travel and tourism industry right here to Milton-Freewater!

In April, Hospice du Rhône will take place from the 24th-27th and will feature the Rocks District of Milton-Freewater AVA. Hospice du Rhône's flagship biennial event gathers an international community to celebrate Rhône variety wines and winemakers. You can find more information about this event at this link.

Mid-October, Oregon Main Street and Washington Main Street are holding a joint Annual Conference in Walla Walla and Milton-Freewater. This is a once-in-30-years opportunity for us, and it is critical that we look our best for this conference! Updates will be provided as plans emerge.

April 27 and October 5 will be our stand alone Make A Difference Day events; citizens will be asked to go outside and pick up a single bag of garbage. A marketing campaign will be developed and we will celebrate these acts of service with our community! Additionally, throughout the year, MFCDA and numerous other organizations will be hosting dozens of public and private events throughout town.

For these reasons, 2024 is Make A Difference YEAR!!! I invite you to join MFCDA in our efforts to make our town SPARKLE in preparation for this exciting year!

We have secured two (2) special offers for you with Victorian Gardens and Tino’s Painting: lush, colorful pre-grown flower planters and professional power washing. Victorian Gardens will grow the flowers of your choice and deliver them mid-May when they are in bloom. Tino’s Painting is offering a discount to anyone who wants power washing; this is very affordable ($200-300 for light commercial buildings) and a great way to freshen up your building facade.
