Sherwood Trust and Rural Development Initiatives partner to bring The Sherwood Trust Community Leadership program to Milton-Freewater. This cohort-designed program is for anyone who wants to make a difference in their community. Participants explore crucial leadership concepts unique to being a community-centered leader in a rural community. We believe Milton-Freewater's greatest assets are people like you who are willing to pitch in and make a difference. We welcome your registration and your commitment to develop your skills as a leader and as an engaged and committed community member.

The community leadership program is for anyone over the age of 18 who wants to get stuff done in their community. Participants discover personal strengths, uncover community assets, frame and advocate ideas, initiate and sustain action. An ideal candidate is someone who is looking to…
- Make a Difference: Those who have desire to serve their rural community.
- Expand Skills: Those who are working toward cultivating and expanding their leadership skills to advance within their school or personal lives.
- Get Connected: Those who would like to get connected to others outside of their present circles The program is packed with experiential learnings, peer bonding, and other leadership growth opportunities.
