Palate Passion: Wee Bit O' Heather

Downtown Milton-Freewater, as I noted in an earlier correspondence, has a significant list of places for your dining pleasure and a diverse mix for all tastes - Chinese, Hispanic, Cheesy, and Service Club-like.
But it never hurts to venture to the outskirts of the downtown area for a good meal.
Might I suggest - as you venture off of Highway 11 - stopping at a Wee Bit O' Heather?
A recent visit of mine occurred when one might be thinking of breakfast or brunch. The disappointment of not being able to play golf with my brother Dominick due to less-than-adequate weather was erased by the thought of humbling my hunger with one of three No. 13/Heather's Special Hash options on the breakfast menu. One is for the vegetable lover, a second comes with a choice of meat and assorted veggies, and the latter is for those who want to satisfy both their meat and vegetable palates - a creation with ham, bacon and sausage, and the following vegetables: broccoli, mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes.
Seven food items seeking elbow room on the same plate is pleasing enough. But this meal reached a higher level of pleasantness when combined with hash browns, eggs, and cheese. And let's not forget a side of sour dough toast, coffee and water to bring things to a comforting climax.
Also be sure to give Wee Bit O' Heather consideration for lunch or an early dinner. Consider a hamburger, a sandwich, or maybe a cup or bowl of chile or the soup of the day.
Wee Bit O' Heather - a wee bit o' charm, a wee bit o' fun, and a wee bit o' yum.
