October 2022 Rising Stars: Mac-Hi's Pioneer Football Team
The mini-golf course strikes again!!! In preparation of our upcoming Fine Wine & Art Expo, we desperately needed help moving our mini-golf course, which was being stored in one of the small-business incubators in Freewater Square, to a new temporary spot- big thank you to Joel Smith at Gordy Plastics for lending us the space!
Joel Smith and about half a dozen boys came ready, willing, and able on a Saturday morning and spent several hours getting their workout in by moving this extremely heavy golf course! The entire time, they were profoundly polite and respectful, cheerful, took initiative and direction, and efficiently moved the golf course to its new home for us. They didn't complain even one time. According to Julie Culjak, "you could really tell that they worked as a good team and represented their school well!"
Thanks to the leadership and willingness of valued community members Jorge Estrada and the wonderful Pioneer Football Team, we were able to get the world's heaviest mini-golf course out of storage and get these business incubators ready for their intended use: launching small businesses. We could not have done this without them! From all of us at MFCDA, thank you all so much!
